Informational Alert

Is Your Personal Data Safe with AI Tools?

AI tools are now common in everyday apps, but they may collect or reuse the information you share with them. This can include text you type into chatbots, images, voice recordings, or documents you upload, usage patterns, location data, or device info.

Who Is at Risk

Anyone using AI chat tools, photo editors, or other apps is at risk. If you wouldn’t post it publicly, you shouldn’t casually paste it into an AI prompt.

What to Watch For

Watch for privacy settings that allow indefinite storage, silence on whether data is used for training, vague language about “improving services,” or no clear data deletion or opt‑out options.

What to Do

Before using an AI tool, check its privacy settings and avoid entering private or sensitive information.
